I ordered the wet bolt kit from Trailair. Cost---$46.00 + $12.00 shipping.
I have it installed. Here is a pic of the where it goes. you get 14 grease able bolts and 14 nuts, 8 brass bushings. The bushings go on the spring ends ONLY.![]() Next pic is what they look like. I circled the hole in the side of the bolt with white finger nail polish so you can see it better. Also before I put each bolt in, I marked the head with the polish so I knew where the grease hole was. You should position the holes at either 3 0'clock or 9 o'clock so the pressure from weight of trailer isn't resting on them and it will make greasing easier. ![]() |

Old Farmer, just installed my equaflex with wet bolt kit today! Did you have any problems with the ferrules on the wet bolts not seating into the shackles provides by trailair? The wet bolt seemed to seat fairly easily into the existing hangers (must be softer metal), but would not pull all the way into the shackles. Just curious. Thanks.

I had that same problem. I have towed 600 miles no problem. If I do I will use a una-bit to make holes one size larger.

I put the new bolts in the shackle then laid it over the vise with bolts hanging down between the jaws. Used a 3/4 impact socket upside down over the head of bolt so as not to damage the zerk. Then a 3# hammer put them in place. ![]() |

Thanks for the response! I was hoping that my 650 ft pd impact wrench would pull them in, I may have to disassemble and use your method. |

A impact won't do it, just strip the threads out of the nuts. I do know this. |

What is the purpose in using these bolts. I'm new at this and was just wondering if I need them for my 2009 19' Zinger. I have about 200 mile on it. Thanks

The "dry" bolts (no means to lubricate) provided by the factory are only cushioned by a nylon bushing that wears out with the pressure created by the spring movement. The "wet" bolts have a grease zerk that allows you to regularly lubricate the bolt/bushing to provide longer life. The "wet" bolts come with bronze bushings (much more durable than nylon) that will wear longer with the lubrication. Hope this helps.
PS - found that three of my nylon bushings were worn through. (2005 model)

Driving through a campground with the windows down, I know this mod is in my near future. Why it is not standard equipment is beyond me.
Thanks for the write up, good pics.
