Just wondering how the warranty works if you sell your unit, can it be transferred to the new owners and if so is there a cost?

Don't quote me on this but I think it applies to the original owner and non-transferrable.

I was told what Hunter11 said... I'm pretty sure he is right.

I'll put in the 3rd vote for non-transferrable.

I sold my 2009 a couple of months ago and had to look it up. Original owner only is what I read.

No it is not transferrable.  We bought our 04 Silverado used in 2005 and after 3k miles we developed cracks by the slide ins.  Crossroads admitted the design was faulty but wouldn't stand by it because we were the second owners.  I think the non-transferability is typical of the industry. We really should pressure the congress and the senate to change that.

We were lucky, in the end the unit we bought was a second hand 09 Seville but the original owner had purchased an extended warranty and he was able to apply to have that transferred to our name, no luck with the original warranty though which seems ridiculous on an 09.  To be truthful I think all these darn warranties are just a giant rip off, before the Seville we had a brand new Challenger that we had purchased a platinum warranty for at a cost of 1700.00 extra, everytime we called them their first response was "That's not covered" in the end my hubby always ended up fixing it himself.  It seems like you should only own an rv if you are a very handy type guy and like to tinker and solve puzzles, lol.
