Tire Pressure and Torque

Hey folks,

any suggestions on what tire pressure to be running ?  I've read some forums where people run whatever is stated on the tire or close to it.  Also does anyone know what the torque setting is for the wheels lugs?

Thanks - the time is near for the start of the season in NL. :)

	Most people here run what is on the tire (cold). I keep mine at 65lbs which is what is stated on the tire. As far as the torque setting, check you manual. I believe most rims are about 90lbs. My book states to torque in 3 stages with the third stage being the final torque. Again, check your book on the rims/tires for your final value.

	don't go any less than 5lbs of the rating on the tire, or you will get uneven tire wear. torque ranges of 90-120 ftlbs. I usually torque customers to around 105ftlbs.

	axelf- You're running the same size tire as my ST30BH. The sticker on the front of my trailer by the door to the propane tanks says run at 50 lbs. The brochure from Mission tires says 50 lbs. The tires themselves say 50 lbs. Sooo.. I keep mine at 50 lbs. religiously. They're now in their second season and have approx. 4,500 miles on and show absolutely no wear on any of the four. After reading of some bad experiences on the forum with Missions I feel fortunate, but then again I take tire pressure checks each time before towing seriously. Pressure holds up really well. Don't know if Crossroads is still using Missions but this is my experience with them to date.
