TV Mounting and Mods

I have a 2011 Zinger ZT25SB with a cabinet for the TV above the dining table.  The flat screen TV is wider than the opening in the cabinet and must be strapped down with a velcro strap for traveling.  Has anyone modified this cabinet to either make it wider of build a frame to  mount the TV while still allowing access to the rear when needed?  I am ready to undertake this project and, if anyone has done it before, why re-invent the wheel?  Pictures or plans would certainly make this an easier job.

I have an articulating arm now but I don't dare rely on it with the weight of the TV while traveling. I believe the stress is too great on the wall mount.

BTW, even with this mount you'd need to use a strap to secure it whenever the rig is towed.

We just mounted our TV on the wall with a flat bracket. This particular bracket enables me to remove TV from wall when traveling (TV just lifts off wall portion of bracket). Does your bracket have a "quick release" or anything?

I used 1 inch lag bolts...cannot remember the size of them but probably 3/8's in diameter...use a small drill to start the hole, go in about 1/2" and then put the lag in with a wrench or a ratchet...don't overtighten...the 2 bolts will hold up to 30 lbs...my 19" weighed less than 10 lbs.  Good luck,
