I believe on new ST 20CK has corian counter tops. We have noticed in our first few trips that these counters, while really nice, tend to scratch really easy. Anyone else experience this? solutions?
Thanks

My new Sunset trail had scratched countertops on delivery but never noticed until I got home. There is instructions in your manual on how to get rid of them.

we had corian in our house, we even had the sink made of corian, and it was an expensive mistake, it really is nice looking but really easy to scratch, the company we bought from came out once a year and the sanded out all the scratches and resealed the whole countertop, when they were done it looked like new, we really just got tired of screwing with them and had everything replaced with quartz, now we don't have to do anything...just wipe it off, the corain is nice but you need to be really careful it does scratch real easy, and it's also easy to stain, the good thing is that it does clean up and it does look like new after....we just got tired of the screwing around...

We have a few scratches on ours in the Seville. I quess I will have to take the manuals out and read them again to get rid of the scratches.

So what does the manual say to do? Is this a real bad issue everyone experiences? I am starting to regret ordering a trailer with the counter top if this is the case. Upon inspecting the show model trailers the counter tops in the ST looked to be very durable??

That's the first thing that my wife complained about on our first trip out in the new camper. We have a 2012 ST30RK, so after a few trips out we made a list of items to get fixed. When we took it in the service tech told us that they would buff the scratch out for us and he acted like they see it all the time. When we got it back and all the little things fixed the counter looked great. So we just decided not to put anything down without something underneath. It does tell us in the owners manual how to take care and remove scratches .

I didn't like the look of ours when we picked up the trailer, I used automotive polishing compound and a power buffer on them and then put two coats of top end automotive carnuba wax on them and they look great and have some protection now against scratching.

Speedster, Your solution of using carnuba wax sounds like good protection. Is there a particular brand of top end carnuba was you would recommend? Thanks.

Your solution of using carnuba wax for protection sounds like a good one. Is there a particular brand of high end carnuba wax you would recommend? Thanks.
