Hey guys, quick question...
Can the slide out in my Z-1 301BH be used while it is not slid out? Could have sworn the technician that did our walk thru said you could sit in dinette or on couch even when it is in, but my buddy says not. However, my buddy has a Salem by Forest River that he just purchased and they specifically said not to use the slide out when it has not been slid out. Thoughts? Thanks.

We use ours all the time when driving from place to place and we stop for lunch at rest stops. The only concern I have heard of is to not step on the edge of the slideout floor as it is raised and could crack/break the underlayment.

Hey Stan,
Thanks for your opinion. That's exactly what we want to know...we want to stop sometimes on the road and would rather eat in our own "clean" digs rather than a sometimes dirty restaurant. Just want to make sure we aren't damaging something. Happy camping!

If useing the slide out when in bothers you , you can cut a board at the same angle as the lip on the slide and you will be solid to the floor. I believe this id what the farmer does. It was wrote up here a while ago.
