tires for our 335ss cruiser

   I've got to get rid of the foreign made tires on our cruiser. I've thouught about the Michelin ribs (235/85/16) but wondered about the clearance between the tires. I now have 235/80/16 now.  

 I may have to go with the goodyear 614 tires in a smaller size. But i did see that they have a better load range.

  Any ideas or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

	See here. Looks like the 85's will be .9" larger in diameter, so tires ~1" closer together. Make sure of fender clearance as well. http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

	Don't rule out the BFG Commercial LT tires in that size. Several of us have them with good results.

	I have the BFG and I've made a 3,000 mile trip with them. They did smooth out the bumps and I don;t know if it was the tires or not but I did a good bit better on gas milage both ways .

	Got the new tires ordered and got them put on this week. Got the bfg 614 rst. Plenty of room between tires. Looks like they're going to work great. Thanks
