   Hello fellow campers;
I have a technical question about my Husky hitch.  The swivel head has two large bolts on both sides that attaches the head to the swivel.  My question is should these bolts be torqued down tight that if torqued down tight would not allow the head to swivel.  Right now the nuts are tight on the bolts but has play to allow swivel.  Just need piece of mind to know this is correct.

	I also have a Husky hitch. I will check mine tomorrow, but I assume that they have shoulder bolts which the nut bottoms out on, or a bushing/sleeve the nut bottoms out on to allow the head to swivel. You want the nut to hold a torque, so that it does not vibrate loose.

	Jerry; This is correct. The shoulder bolts have some play in them when the hitch head is moved around, but does not appear to be anything loose. Nuts and Bolts appear to be very secure, but just need confirmation that these should not be torqued down tight that seems to me would not allow the hitch head to move. I'm going to attempt to call Husky after I get my model # for some assistance. Appreciate you looking at yours also. We have had out Husky hitch since 2005 with no problems.(knock knock)

	If you have shoulder bolts,or sleeves/bushings, you should be able to torque things as much as you want and not have anything bind up. That's the purpose for them.

	I just got back from putting my hitch in the bed of my truck so I could move my 5th wheel. I looked at the swivel mechanism, and the nuts are a lock nut, which will keep the nut from loosening. If you look at the ends, you can see the marks that make it a locking nut. My guess is that they run the nuts in to some pre-set clearance. It didn't look like there were shoulder bolts or sleeves, that is just how I would have done it if I were designing it. In any case, I think you are just fine.
