We ordered our new 31SB without a television as it is much more economical to buy and install our own. We will be picking up a 32" (not sure which brand and model as of yet) TV and I am now looking at mounts. Which ones did you use if you installed your own TV ? Is there enough solid wood back there for the mount to be solid ? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx.. Richard.. |

Not sure which one to tell you to buy, but earlier this week, Newegg was having some pretty good sales on the Rosewill brand. www.newegg.com
Even if you find one at Best Buy, Wal-mart, etc. Check Newegg prices. Usually can find one with free shipping, no tax etc. |

I just installed this mount for a 19" Vizio and it works great for us. http://www.amazon.com/Ready-America-MRV3500-Travel-Mount/dp/B00149RVK8/ref=pd_ys_iyr3

Do a search over the past year in the Zinger forum for "Zinger TV Mount" it is a good thread for your question. Good luck!

Richard,
Got mine at Wal-Mart, the $59 one that rotates up and down and has a swivel arm. Do not install with the screws they send...I bought 2 one inch lag bolts of the same thickness as the one's they have in the package and drilled a small lead hole...it worked out very well. Good luck. Jim

Richard-
We went with a stationary mount, can't remember the brand off the top of my head. When I mounted mine I did take the mirror and paneling off and added some extra supports. The factory installed crossmember would probably be sufficient but with the stationary mount I wanted a more widely and evenly spaced bolt pattern. The factory crossmember is not centered in the cavity so make sure you check before you drill.
*Forgot to add- we went with a 32" Insignia we got form Best Buy. Leaves about 1" of clearance on all sides and seems to hold up well to traveling so far. Won't break the bank either.* Edited by fire249 - 02 May 2012 at 5:39am |

If you're doing the swivel mount, I recommend taking the few minutes to slide the TV off and and store somewhere safe while travelling. We store ours on the bed.
Better safe than sorry.
