Caulking on Top Curve?

We took delivery of a 271BH (our first TT) two weeks ago and took it out for the first time this past weekend and had a blast.  I didn't notice this when we picked it up but when I was standing outside near the front I noticed a TON of caulking up where the front curve meets the roof.   It leaves a big gap so I'm sure that's why it's there.
Any other Z-1 owners notice this?  Is this normal?  I didn't think to take a picture of it but I took a pic of another 271BH and circled the area.

Also - related to caulking - the Z-1 sports a nice gutter with spouts that redirect water away from the TT.  Mine has a small gap in the gutter right around the middle of the awning area.  Because of this, while running the AC, it constantly drips down the side of the TT.  Does anyone have a gutter join around that area and should it be fine to just caulk it to seal the gap?

	Our gutter was leaking at the middle of the awning and it started sliding down behind the awning and dripping on us. We fixed it w/ caulk last year. So far so good.

	Congrats on your new Z-1. I actually just purchased the Z-1 301 BH in January. My first trip was last weekend as well and I noticed the split in my awning as well. Just need to use silicone caulk in the groove to eliminate any leak. ( had another trailer with the same issue a few years ago-silicone did the trick). With regard to the excessive caulk on the corner where the curved front meets the flat part of the trailer, that is normal. Better to have lots of caulk and no leaks rather than the opposite - and yes my Z-1 is heavily caulked in the same area. Enjoy your Z-1 !

	Just a little gutter tip to add.... Clip a couple of clothes hangers together and clip them to the ends of the gutter. This will adds about 4" extension to the gutter. Keeps the water away from the side of the TT and helps eliminate the black streaks..

	Not clothes hangers, rather clothes pins, preferably plastic. Sorry!!

	That is a good idea - may help with water running down over baggage doors, too.

	If you clip another on the end of the first one, it does extend the drip line...
