Does anyone know what type of filter the water filtration system is using? I cannot find anything on it in the litterature that came with the 34SB?

We just purchased a Rushmore 35CK and I had same question and contacted CR. They sent me a file saying it used a Pentek C1 filter.
Hope this helps. Robert

you will find the filter behind the protective shield in the pass thru area. Uses a standard filter available at any Lowes, Home depot, etc.

I have a large whole house filter on mine. I dump the water after each trip and put some 1% peroxide in to kill any bacteria before the next use...the large filters call for 15,000 gallons which to me is a year's worth of camping. Now having said all that...mine is clear and I can see in it...and I will judge it by what I see inside...for example if you camp at state or national parks where the water may be from wells, then I would change it more often, to be safe...my filters only cost $8, and that is cheap protection for me. On another note I am camping next weekend at a CG where I got there brochure and it stated in there "our water pressure is 75psi, so you should use a pressure reducing device for your own safety" that's the first I've seen that but I always use my reducer anyway but for some who don't, it is a notice to pay attention to...FWIW
