This is our first post to the forum so before I ask for help I want to thank all for their previous posts. You put there are the reason we boought our 31.5RE Cruiser fifth wheel. We have read several posts from the people in Oak Harbor. We have been coming to city park there from Vancouver Island BC for the past 20 years. we love your community. Thanks for your great hospitality there.

ok - for my problem ,,, the ground fault outlet in the kitchen keeps tripping.  Sometimes it last for day and then other times it trips every 15 seconds. It seems like all 7 outlets on this circuit in the living dining area are tied into this one circuit breaker. The curcuit breaker doesnt trip but the ground fault recepticle does and knocks all the other out. Any suggestions ?

Replace that ground fault plug, get a good one from Lowes or Home depot I had the same problem, and replaced both of them four years ago, have not had it happen since

thanks for the good advice.  I will check all conections and replace both Ground fault devices. The problem seems to be intermittent in that this morning I have a 1500 watt heater and the drip coffee maker on same curcuit and no issues. Last night no load at all and it was tripping all by itself. I am thinking the GFI is the most likey but good to check all connections anyway.  Thanks again

From all of us on Whidbey Island (not many!) thanks for the kind words.  We love it here as well.

Your problem is pretty common and the first thing I would check for is water in the connection/junction boxes under the slides.  Open the slides and from underneath look for light grey boxes with wire bundles going into them (I have two on the left kitchen slide and one on the right dinette slide).  Pull the blank covers off and check.  I drilled small hole in the covers and put them back on after drying the area.  Pretty common for tire spray and rain water to get inside these boxes which trips the GFI.

I agree with all the above. Check for water first then replace the GFIC outlet with a higher quality one. Like circut breakers, the more they trip the eazier it is for them to trip.

Might be weakining the GFI using 1500w heater AND coffee pot together.Try shutting the heater off while brewing.Probably just a bad GFI.
