Ok, someone may say (Not good for the enviroment). But to make your own crazy colored fires. Take an old garden hose. Cut into 3 or 4 inch sections. Get some copper pipe 1/2 (If I remember correctly). Cut pipe to same length. Use dish liquid to lube up the pipe and push pipe into pieces of hose. When having a camp fire, after the fire is burning good. Put three or four pieces into the fire at different areas. Flames will burn all different colors for about 20 minuites. After fire is cooled down; the pieces of pipe can be retrieved and reused in another piece of hose. Anyone else have another way, let us know.

...pretty much what I do....I have also experimented with different size copper pieces and stuffed them full of garden hose. just don't plan to cook anything while the pretty fire is lit... I also use wood tongs to help remove the copper pieces in the morning as the fires we usually have, the pieces can still be a bit warm:)

We use old mini Christmas lights! Copper and plastic, works just as good as copper and hose. Re-home your old lights on your campfire. Works great and alot less frustrating than trying to fix em!

I have used the copper hose but also bought a can of sprinkles for a log fire at at hearth store...just use it to entertain the grand kids mostly. Here is a link for the crystals and a fun link for the do it yourself type.
