We're new here and it took just about all day to figure out how to sign up and add all the fancy picture links. We recently purchased a 25rs Cruiser and can't wait for spring. I do have one question: I was told not to use the dining table or even stand in the slide-out while it is retracted. Is this correct? I can foresee a time when we may want to use the table while traveling. A service tech stated that while retracted, the slide-out is not in a position to hold extra weight. _popupControl();

I was always told to NOT step on or use the slideout unless fully extended. Now, I don't know if that's a wives tale but given how flimsy the floor's are and the fact they are unsupported I have stayed off.

When the slide is in it is not supported on the end and it can break if you step on it.

We use our table in the slide out all the time when we are traveling. I have 2 lengths of board that run the full length of the slide. I ran them thru the table saw and cut a bevel on one side.
The beveled side gets put under the slide when it's in. That fills the gap and we don't have to worry about breaking it loose from the end walls. When we get to our destination, they get taken out and I set them on top of the axles. They stay dry and clean there. By the way, welcome to the forum. ![]() Edited by Old Farmer - 07 Feb 2009 at 9:39pm |

We use our dining set all the time when we stop for lunch at rest stops. We don't put the slide out, but then we can get to all the cupboards and fridge with the slides in. We are carefull not to step on the edge of the slide floor. Welcome to the forum.

Korbe & Diana, welcome to the forum and congrats on the new unit!! I agree with those that don't use the slide unless it is out. Lack of support would be cause for concern. It doesn't long to deploy the slide, so I rather be on the safe side.
P.S. Cute dog, what is it's name & breed??
