They have checked out my electric and say everything is fine. Something was definetly wrong inside the last one because if you slaped it the lights came on fine.

A third vote for looking into it further,  our PP is now 5 years old and gets used 40 to 50 nights a year, and there has been no issue with it so far.

I would have to agree, if your PP is an 08 and has gone through 5 converters I would be looking for other issues before something major happens. Factory support is fine but I would think they would want to fix the issue causing the converter failures.

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but I think there is something else wrong that is causing it to go.

I did not have to leave the dealer swinging in the wind as he is out of business. All my dealings have been with the factory and they have been great to deal with.

Power Converter NO.5 lasted less than a year. We are now the happy owners of our 6th power converter. I believe I have traced the problem down to cheap Chinese JUNK. The good news is that the factory has stood behind me the whole time. I have not had a problem with them at all. I know for a fact that most of the other manufactures would have left me swinging in the wind a long time ago.

We just had to have our converter replaced ( 2 months after our warranty ran out, of course). I sure hope we don't have to do it 4 times!!

CrossRoads stood 100% behind the warranty. Randy and his people bent over backwards to please us. Can't say enough about how great those guys are.

I wish you the best of luck. All things considered, I think it very well could have been a bad battery. However, I don't know why the converter should "cook". They should be protected with a fuse or circuit breaker I would think. I've never looked at mine close to see what they use.
I assume Cross Roads stood behind their warranty.
